This past week, we continued learning about Lent and our environment. We observed our soil, learned about endangered plants in Los Angeles and the world, and made scientific illustrations of the Beach Layia. We discussed how flowers and plants grow during spring like we grow in God's love during Lent.

The Kindergarteners are conducting an experiment to test the smog in our area. We took 2 hangers, shaped them like squares and put four rubber bands around each one. We put 1 hanger in a plastic bag in a file cabinet and the other hanger outside in a tree. Weekly, we will observe each one and see if there are any changes to the rubber bands.
